The MF6A 3600mm perimeter channel is a 0.5mm gauge galvanised steel section designed for use in metal furring (MF) suspended ceiling systems. It serves as the primary edge framework, fixed directly to surrounding room walls to establish a continuous, level support line for the overall ceiling grid.
This channel acts as the core perimeter support, receiving the ends of MF5 secondary ceiling sections and creating a stable base for attaching various types of plasterboard. The 28mm depth and 3600mm length provide a reliable framework for interior fit-outs, allowing space for the integration of recessed lighting, ducting, and acoustic materials.
Formed from galvanised steel, this perimeter channel provides resistance to corrosion and maintains structural stability over time. It complies with EN 14195:2005 standards for metal framing components and achieves an A1 reaction to fire rating.
