Fire & Smoke Seals

Fire and Smoke Seals for Compatible Fire Doors

The gap around a fire door is part of its tested performance, not spare space for an arbitrary seal. MacBlair stocks fire and smoke door seals for compatible rated doors and frames where intumescent or smoke control is specified.

Match seal type, size, location and fire rating to the doorset evidence. Intumescent material responds to heat; a smoke brush or blade controls cold smoke. Some applications combine both.

Do not guess groove dimensions or substitute products. Installation, trimming and painting must follow the certificate, and damaged or painted-over seals should be assessed by a competent person. Check the wider door furniture range for compatible parts, and match the fixing arrangement with suitable door hinges where the installation requires them.
