Flexible Tap Connectors

Braided Hoses for Taps and Mixer Tails

The space under a basin or sink rarely gives a rigid pipe a clear route to the tap. MacBlair stocks braided flexible tap connectors in 300mm and 500mm lengths, alongside mixer-tap tails and a connector with an integral isolating valve. These fittings are useful where the final connection needs a controlled bend.

Read both ends of the old connector before replacing it. The visible range includes 15mm and 22mm pipe-side options, different threaded ends and 10mm or 12mm mixer-tail versions. A hose that is too short can pull on the fitting, while excessive length may kink. Pair the correct connector with the tap and supply pipe.

Check the hose’s water-use approval, temperature and pressure rating for the installation, particularly on a drinking-water outlet. Fit it without twisting the braid and leave the connection accessible for inspection. An compatible compression fitting may be needed where the fixed pipework is being altered.

Flexible Tap Connectors FAQ's

Choose enough length for a smooth bend without stretching or coiling the hose tightly. The listed range includes 300mm and 500mm.

They describe the pipe-side connection, threaded end and hose length. Check both existing connections before ordering.

Some listed mixer tap tails are made for that purpose. Match the tail thread to the tap manufacturer’s specification.

Use a fitting approved for its intended water application where the regulations require it. Check the product’s stated approval.

Inspect its condition and the manufacturer’s instructions. A worn, kinked or corroded connector should be replaced.
