Single Convector Radiators
Single convector radiators, often referred to as Type 11 radiators, feature a single steel panel with one set of convector fins attached to the back. These fins increase the surface area for heat transfer, allowing the radiator to warm air efficiently through convection. Compact and slimline, they are commonly installed in smaller spaces such as hallways, bathrooms, and bedrooms where wall projection needs to be minimal. They work with standard central heating systems and are available in various sizes to suit different layouts.
These radiators operate by circulating hot water through the panel, which heats the fins and creates convection currents that distribute warmth evenly throughout the room. Made from durable steel and typically finished in white, they comply with modern heating standards and are compatible with thermostatic radiator valves for precise temperature control. Their design prioritises space saving without compromising on functionality, making them suitable for both domestic and light commercial environments.
Key advantages include straightforward installation, reliable heat output for modest sized rooms, and a small profile that fits tight spaces. The addition of convector fins enhances efficiency compared to plain panel radiators, while their simple construction ensures low maintenance and long service life. These features make single convector radiators a practical choice for areas where consistent, comfortable heating is required without excessive bulk.
