Tile Grouts

Joint Fillers for a Clean Tiled Finish

Tile grout fills the joints between fixed tiles, supporting the edges and creating a clean, maintainable finish. Select it by joint width, tile type, wall or floor location, colour and exposure to moisture.

Allow the tile adhesive to cure before grouting. Mix powder to the stated ratio, work it diagonally across the joints with a rubber float, and clean the face at the correct stage. Washing too early or with excessive water can cause patchy colour and weak joints.

Use tools from the tiling tools collection for controlled application and cleaning. Movement joints and changes of plane normally require a suitable flexible sealant rather than rigid grout. Check the full tiling range before starting.

Joint Filler FAQ's

Follow the adhesive datasheet. The wait varies with product type, bed depth, tile and site conditions.

Inconsistent mixing, cleaning too early, excessive wash water or variable drying can change colour and surface strength.

Use the tile and installation specification. UK guidance generally requires wider joints on floors and larger tiles.

Changes of plane often need a compatible flexible sealant to accommodate movement rather than rigid grout.

Use the recommended cleaning method after the grout has firmed, taking care not to wash material from the joints.
