Bath Panels & Screens

Shower Screens and Finishing Panels for Bath Installations

Panels conceal the bath frame and pipework, while a screen keeps shower spray inside the bathing area. MacBlair stocks both for replacement jobs and complete refits, alongside bath tubs in practical sizes.

Measure the bath itself rather than the old panel. Check length, height, rim shape and the number of exposed sides. Some panels can be trimmed within stated limits, but cutting beyond the manufacturer’s guidance can weaken the edge or damage the finish.

For a screen, confirm width, height, hinge direction and clearance to taps, furniture and the ceiling. The wall must be plumb enough for the profile to seal correctly. Select shower equipment with a spray pattern that works within the screened area.

Seal junctions as directed and keep access to the trap and connections. Matching bath taps and mixers can be planned before the panel is closed, while the wider bathroom range covers the rest of the room.

Bath Panel Screen FAQ's

Measure the finished bath length and the distance from the underside of the rim to the floor. Check for skirting, pipes and uneven floors before ordering.

Some panels allow limited trimming, while others do not. Follow the product instructions and protect cut edges from moisture where the manufacturer requires it.

Check the handing shown in the product drawing and picture the screen from outside the bath. Confirm it will clear taps, furniture and nearby sanitaryware.

No. Rim width, wall profile, screen dimensions and bath shape must be compatible. Curved or shaped baths often need a matching screen.

Follow the screen instructions because sealing the wrong side can trap water in the profile. The bath and wall surfaces must be clean, dry and fully prepared.
