This OSB3 conditioned tongue & groove board is a rugged engineered wood panel sized at 2440mm by 1220mm with a thickness of 18mm. It is designed for structural use in indoor or semi-enclosed environments where occasional moisture or humidity is present. The “tongue & groove” (T&G) profile on its edges ensures boards can tightly interlock, which helps reduce movement, minimise squeaks, and create a flush surface. Use cases include flooring, roof decking, sub-floors, wall sheathing, and platforms.
For installation, allow the board to “condition” by storing it in the same environment in which it will be used so the moisture content adjusts, fix securely to joists or battens, maintain correct spacing for expansion, and make sure grooves and tongues are aligned properly. Finish edges or seal joins if moisture exposure is likely.
- Tongue and groove edges ensure a tight, stable joint that reduces movement and gives a smooth, even surface
- OSB3 grade gives strength in load-bearing structural applications even in humid or variable moisture conditions
- 18mm thickness provides high rigidity and durability under load such as flooring or roof decking
- Large sheet size reduces number of joints, cuts and labour time
- Conditioned board helps limit warping or swelling after installation once it calibrates to site conditions
