The 1350mm Keystone SK-90 is a standard load cavity wall lintel designed to carry masonry over window and door openings. It is suitable for external walls featuring a cavity width between 90-105mm. The component supports a 102mm outer leaf and a 100mm inner blockwork leaf, acting as a primary load-bearing element in standard masonry builds.
Blockwork should be built tight against the inner face of the lintel during installation. A mortar bed is placed on the blockwork before any floor units are laid, which helps distribute the structural load evenly. Propping the lintel is recommended to aid construction speed while the mortar cures. Further structural solutions are available in our Steel Lintels category for comprehensive project planning.
Formed from galvanised steel, the SK-90 satisfies the thermal performance criteria detailed in UK Building Regulations. This 1350mm version provides a safe working load, Total UDL 3:1, of 16kN and weighs 8.93kg. These parameters ensure a precise balance of heavy load capacity and practical manual handling on site.
- Formed from galvanised steel to ensure corrosion resistance in cavity walls.
- Accommodates a 90-105mm cavity width for typical masonry applications.
- Supports a 16kN safe working load at a 3:1 ratio for structural stability.
- Weighs 8.93kg to facilitate manageable manual handling during installation.
- Complies with UK Building Regulations regarding thermal performance.
