The Simpson Strong-Tie FT200 Frame Tie is a metal component designed for securing window and door frames to solid masonry. It features a profiled design that provides enhanced mortar keying, ensuring a secure connection when installed within a masonry wall. The edges of the tie are finished safely to reduce the risk of injury during handling and installation on site.
Made from 1mm thick galvanised steel, this 150mm long tie offers essential corrosion resistance for standard building applications. The product includes pre-punched holes on the flange, consisting of two 4.1mm holes and one 6mm hole, to accommodate standard mechanical fixings. The wall tie must be fully embedded into the mortar joint during the building process to function correctly.
