Unilin Thin-R Roof/Floor PIR Insulation 70mm is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board with composite aluminium foil facings on both sides, certified to EN 13165 and BBA approved for use in ground supported and suspended floors, as well as pitched roof applications.
Designed to optimise thermal performance in space constrained environments, the insulation board has a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK and an R-value of approximately 3.18 m²K/W, making it compatible with underfloor heating systems.
Measuring 1.2m × 2.4m (covering 2.88m²), the board installs in staggered, break bonded layout with tightly butted joints. Perimeter strips are available for edge detailing to reduce thermal bridging and maintain continuity. Its closed cell structure offers moisture resistance, and the composite foil enhances airtightness and low emissivity performance.
