The Simpson Strong-Tie MP50/100 is a 50mm by 100mm fastening plate designed to join two pieces of timber or reinforce split and damaged wood assemblies. It is made from pre-galvanised mild steel with a Z275 coating, offering standard corrosion resistance for Service Class 2 indoor environments.
The plate features integral teeth that press directly into the wood surface, eliminating the need for separate nails or screws. Users can apply the plate by pressing or hammering it flush into the timber. Care should be taken during application to avoid splitting the wood grain.
