The 68mm round downpipe shoe is a standard finishing component for exterior rainwater management systems. Fitted at the base of a vertical downpipe drop, this angled fitting is designed to direct the flow of surface water away from the building's exterior masonry and foundation. It efficiently channels rainwater directly into a ground-level drainage gully or surface water channel, preventing damp and water accumulation at ground level.
Formed from unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (uPVC), the shoe uses a socketed push-fit mechanism for a straightforward installation. The straight 68mm downpipe section slots securely into the top of the shoe without requiring sealants or specialist adhesives. This component integrates seamlessly into broader
The black finish provides UV resistance, protecting the component from structural degradation and colour fading caused by direct sunlight. A smooth internal bore ensures a consistent water flow rate and reduces the chance of leaves or debris catching and causing blockages at the drainage exit point.
- Directs rainwater away from exterior walls and foundations at ground level.
