This 45° elbow is a directional fitting used within Grant’s EZ-Fit Blue System, allowing a controlled change of direction in external single-wall flue or plume routes on boilers up to 26kW. It forms part of the 80mm Blue System layout and is commonly installed when the flue path needs to offset around obstacles or align with a high-level or vertical route within the Oil Boiler Flues range.
The elbow joints to adjoining sections using the supplied locking band, creating a stable and mechanically secure connection. Its angled design supports consistent airflow while helping installers redirect the flue without excessive projection, particularly useful when navigating along external walls or near eaves.
As with other Blue System components, this fitting works with adjustable plume sections, fixed extensions, wall brackets and a choice of high-level or vertical terminals. Grant’s plume-management rules apply, meaning each 45° elbow deducts 0.5m from the allowable 6m vertical rise, ensuring the system remains compliant when designing plume-diverter arrangements.
