The Expamet Expanded Metal Lathing Sheet 700mm x 2.5m is designed to provide a strong foundation for plastering projects. Made from galvanised mild steel, this lathing sheet offers excellent resistance to corrosion.

Its diamond-patterned mesh facilitates a strong bond with plaster, reducing the risk of cracking. Installation is straightforward and versatile; the sheet can be fixed using galvanised clout nails, staples, screws with washers, or tying wire.

For timber supports, fixings should be placed at 100mm centres, starting from the centre and working outwards. On metal supports, tie with 1.2mm tying wire at 100mm centres, ensuring a tight and secure fit.

It's important to note that when overlapping sheets, a 50mm overlap along the short edge and a 25mm overlap along the long edge should be maintained. Additionally, a 5-6mm gap between the lath and substrate is recommended to accommodate plaster depth.
