The Velux EDW SK06 1000 is an aluminium exterior flashing kit supplied with an integrated BFX underfelt collar. It is designed to integrate a 1140mm by 1180mm Velux roof window into profiled roofing materials, including interlocking tiles, thatched roofs, corrugated sheets, and interlocking slates. The kit provides a secure barrier against wind-driven rain and drafts by channelling water safely into the guttering system below.
The system works through interlocking sections that overlap around the window frame to form weather-tight joints, while a foam gasket forms a seal against the contoured profile of the tiles. The included BFX underfelt collar is a pleated, vapour-permeable membrane that stretches over the window frame and battens to create an additional layer of protection against moisture ingress. It features an adjustable transverse drainage gutter to divert water away from the top of the window structure.
This kit is compatible with roof pitches ranging from 15 to 90 degrees and is suitable for roofing profiles up to 120mm in depth. Made with a grey external finish, it aligns flush with the outer frame of the roof window to maintain a clean exterior profile.
