The Simpson Strong-Tie THM230/50 Truss Hanger Mono is a structural bracket designed for supporting mono trusses from timber members. Made from pre-galvanised mild steel, this hanger accommodates 50mm wide joists with a height ranging between 100mm and 150mm. It functions as a secure timber-to-timber connection point within roofing and floor structures, ensuring correct load distribution across the framework.
Installation of the hanger provides flexibility through two approved fixing methods. Users can secure the bracket using standard square twist nailing, or they can opt for a combination of square twist nails and double shear nailing for higher load requirements. The unit features integrated speed prongs that hold the hanger securely in position, streamlining the alignment and fixing process before the final nails are driven into the timber.
