The Tobermore Textured Flag is a square concrete slab designed for outdoor pathways, garden patios, and courtyards. This charcoal coloured flagging provides a dark, contemporary look with a fine grained surface that catches natural light to create a subtle sparkle. The textured surface helps prevent slipping, making it a safe and practical choice for walking areas around residential properties. These slabs work cleanly alongside complementary border products like Sienna Setts to create clear boundaries and tidy edges for paving projects.
Each slab features a specialised top surface layer called PrimeTop, which contains a dense cement mix to protect against everyday wear, scratches, and scrapes. The concrete is also treated with a vapour curing process known as Ef-Stop during production. This step helps stop white, powdery efflorescence stains from forming on the surface, keeping the dark charcoal colour rich and vibrant for longer. With a 32mm thickness, these slabs are light enough to handle easily during installation while remaining strong enough for regular foot traffic.
Following official BS EN 1339:2003 standards, these flags guarantee uniform sizes and dependable thickness across every piece. Each individual unit measures 400mm x 400mm, weighs 12.9kg, and has gently sloped edges to make alignment straightforward and joint lines uniform. Planning a layout is straightforward, as exactly 6.25 pieces are needed to cover each square metre of ground.
