Tobermore Kerbstone in Charcoal is a concrete edging block produced using a tumbling process to create an aged, antique finish. It is used to define boundaries for driveways, pathways, and garden areas, providing a physical border that separates different surface materials and prevents the spread of paving bases.
The blocks feature finished surfaces on all sides, allowing them to be laid in multiple orientations depending on the required height and profile. They are commonly bedded on concrete or mortar to secure the edging line before laying the main paving.
Made to comply with BS EN 1338:2003, these kerbstones offer a typical tensile splitting strength of >3.6MPa to withstand regular pedestrian and light vehicle traffic. The charcoal pigment is mixed throughout the concrete to maintain consistent colour even if the block is chipped or worn over time.
