TimberTech2 Silver Plus is a high density natural rubber underlay with fleece backing and a vapour barrier, designed for floating laminate and engineered wood flooring. It helps reduce impact noise from footfall, supports a stable feel underfoot in heavy-use areas, and provides moisture protection to help keep the floor build-up dry.
Supplied as a 3mm roll with 10m² coverage (1m x 10m), it offers an extra level of cushioning compared to thinner options while maintaining the durability and compression recovery expected from high density rubber underlays.
This underlay is intended for floating floor installations only. Lay it on a clean, level subfloor with the vapour barrier facing up, then seal the joins with suitable underlay joining tape for best results. It is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems, but you should always follow the flooring manufacturer’s maximum tog guidance for the full floor build-up.
