Thompson's Quick Drying Drive Seal is an acrylic polymer-based coating supplied in a 5L tin, designed to restore the colour and appearance of existing tarmac surfaces. Formulated with inorganic pigments and fillers, it provides a slip-resistant black finish that revitalises weathered drives. The water-based solution acts as a protective barrier against common surface contaminants, making it easier to clean up future oil and petrol spills.
This product is applied directly to sound, clean tarmac using a long pile roller. The 5L tin provides enough material to cover up to 30m2 for a single coat. It requires a two-coat application for best results, with a 4 hour wait time between coats. The fast-curing formula allows light vehicle traffic to resume just 4 hours after the final coat is applied. For heavy use, leaving the surface overnight is recommended to allow the seal to fully cure.
Suitable for standard commercial and domestic tarmac applications, this product forms a practical addition to Landscaping supplies. It is provided ready to use, requires no thinning, and cleans up easily with warm water and detergent. It should only be applied in dry conditions above 10C, and newly laid tarmac must be left for 90 days before sealing.
