The Soudal Tanking Kit is a ready-to-use waterproofing system developed to protect indoor wet rooms, bathrooms, and showers from moisture and dampness prior to tiling. The kit provides a complete barrier system and includes a 1L bottle of Soudaprim DP fast-drying primer, a 4kg tub of Soudagum LM solvent-free liquid polymer membrane, and a 10m roll of Soudatape ST watertight sealing tape.
This system creates a permanently elastic, continuous waterproof film across both horizontal floor surfaces and vertical walls. The primer prepares porous and gypsum substrates, while the sealing tape secures vulnerable 2D angles and 3D corners. The liquid membrane is then applied over the primed surface and tape in two layers to create a solid moisture barrier that resists alkali and lime water.
Applying the system requires standard tools like a brush, roller, or trowel. Each coat dries in approximately four hours, allowing tile bonding to proceed after a 12-hour waiting period. The components are formulated to adhere strongly to standard tile adhesives.
