Olympic Fixings Styrene Free Chemical Anchor is a rapid-curing anchoring system designed for heavy-duty fastening. Based on a two-part polyester resin formula, this 300ml cartridge is supplied without styrene, ensuring a low-odour application suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. It creates a secure, waterproof, and vibration-proof bond in solid base materials, acting as a highly effective alternative when traditional mechanical expansion anchors are unsuitable.
This chemical anchor is intended for setting bolts, threaded rods, studs, and wall ties into concrete, solid masonry, brickwork, stone, and aerated block. It is especially useful for close-edge fixings where expansive forces could cause the base material to crack or fail.
To apply, the user must unscrew the cartridge cap and attach the provided static mixer nozzle before loading the unit into a standard 300ml applicator gun. The resin and hardener mix automatically as they pass through the nozzle to ensure an even chemical consistency. Users should discard the first 10cm of extruded material until a uniform colour appears, then fill the prepared drill hole from the base upwards to prevent air entrapment. The threaded stud or fixing must be inserted with a twisting motion to guarantee full contact before the resin cures.
