Macpherson Mid Sheen Emulsion Paint Brilliant White 10L is a water-based decorative coating designed for interior walls and ceilings. This paint provides an alternative finish to vinyl matt and vinyl silk, offering a soft sheen that reflects light while hiding minor surface imperfections. Formulated with a vinyl acetate copolymer binder and titanium dioxide pigments, it delivers a washable and wipeable surface suitable for medium traffic areas including corridors, bedrooms, and living spaces.
Application is suitable via brush, roller, or airless spray equipment, requiring two coats for complete coverage. The paint achieves a spreading rate of up to 14m² per litre depending on the porosity and texture of the substrate. Under normal drying conditions, the formula is touch dry within 1 to 2 hours and ready for a subsequent coat after 4 hours. For application on new plaster or highly porous substrates, a priming coat thinned by up to 20% with clean water is recommended to seal the surface before full application.
This emulsion complies with British standards BS 6150 for the painting of buildings and BS 8000 Part 12 for decorative wallcoverings and painting. It features a low volatile organic compound content, containing a maximum of 2g/l VOC against the EU limit value of 30g/l. The product should be applied at ambient temperatures above 8°C and relative humidity below 80% to ensure proper film formation and curing.
