The Knauf Insulation OmniFit Roll 40 is a versatile glass mineral wool roll designed for use in both timber and steel frame applications. It provides a thermal conductivity of 0.04W/mK and features acoustic properties that meet the requirements of Part E of the Building Regulations. The insulation uses a bio-based binder, ECOSE Technology, and has a Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification, meaning it is a non-combustible material.
This product is partially perforated to allow for specific sizing, giving the option to split the roll into either two 600mm widths or three 400mm widths to suit different centre measurements. Applying the roll involves friction fitting it between studwork, which creates a tight seal. This prevents gaps and minimises air movement around the edges, reducing unwanted heat loss.
Suitable for internal walls, ground floors, internal floors, and pitched roofs at ceiling level, this multi-purpose roll reduces the need to source different materials for varied tasks.
