Gyproc Dental Plaster is a formulated hemihydrate plaster (CaSO₄·½H₂O) produced from naturally occurring gypsum mineral. Designed specifically for dental applications, Gyproc Dental Plaster is ideal for the flasking process in denture production. Its fine particle size and grit-free composition allow for the creation of detailed and accurate dental moulds.
Versatility is a key feature of this plaster. It can be combined with dental stone plasters, such as Dentstone KD, to construct model bases, bleaching tray models, and working models for dentures.
The plaster's off-white colour provides a neutral background, enhancing the visibility of fine details during the moulding process. With a plaster-to-water mix ratio of 100:60 by weight, it offers a manageable working time. The initial setting time is approximately 9 minutes, and it reaches its final set in about 12 minutes.
In terms of performance, Gyproc Dental Plaster exhibits a linear expansion of 0.28%, a Brinell hardness of 40 MPa and a wet compressive strength of 10 MPa, providing the durability needed for handling and processing.
