EVO-STIK Technik OPF is a standard-setting, cement-based ceramic tile adhesive supplied in a 20kg bag. Formulated with a Portland cement blend, it acts as a thin-bed adhesive for securing large format porcelain, vitrified tiles, natural stone, and standard ceramic tiles to walls and floors. The polymer-modified composition increases flexural strength, allowing the adhesive to accommodate movement from heated sub-floors and secured plywood timber panels.
This versatile white adhesive forms a strong bond with various typical building substrates, including concrete, cement render, blockwork, brickwork, and fully braced tile backer boards. It provides water resistance suitable for both interior and exterior environments, meaning it performs effectively in fully immersed locations like swimming pools, wet rooms, saunas, and bathrooms.
The adhesive offers a long open time of up to 4 hours, giving ample workability before the initial 24-hour set time. Coverage yields approximately 4.0kg per square metre for floor applications and 2.5kg per square metre for wall applications. It fully conforms to BS EN 12004 Type C, Class 2TE-S1 standards.
