Evo-Stik General Purpose PVA is a highly effective, multi-functional building liquid designed to act as an adhesive, primer, sealer, and dustproofer. Formulated from a polyvinyl acetate emulsion, it is supplied as a white liquid that dries to form a transparent film. It is designed for interior use in dry service conditions and is widely utilised for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
When used as an adhesive, it bonds most building materials, provided at least one of the surfaces is porous. Compatible materials include timber, plywood, chipboard, brick, concrete, plaster, stone, and slate. As a primer, it improves adhesion and bond strength on porous or difficult surfaces prior to applying plaster. It can also be diluted and applied as a sealer to reduce dust on interior concrete floors and plaster walls.
Application is achieved using a brush, roller, or spreader, depending on the job. For bonding tasks, surfaces must be joined while the adhesive remains wet or tacky. When applied as a primer on porous surfaces, it requires dilution with water and must be left to dry completely before the next stage of work begins. Tools can easily be cleaned with warm, soapy water immediately after use.
