Evo-Stik Decorators Professional Caulk is a fast-drying, plasto-elastic sealant formulated from an acrylic emulsion. It is designed to fill low-movement gaps and fine cracks prior to decorating. Upon application, the paste dries through the evaporation of water to form a tough, flexible rubber seal that accommodates minor structural movements. It bonds effectively without the need for a primer on most building substrates, including wood, concrete, brickwork, and metal, and can even be applied to slightly damp surfaces.
The sealant is supplied in a 380ml cartridge and is easily applied using a standard applicator gun. It is commonly used for sealing connection joints along stairs, walls, ceilings, skirting boards, covings, windowsills, and window or door frames. The formula is non-corrosive to metals and tools smoothly to provide a flat surface. Suitable for interior applications, it forms a surface skin in approximately seven minutes.
Once fully dry, the caulk can be sanded flush with the surrounding surface. It is overpaintable in 1 to 2 hours using water-based or synthetic paints, allowing the decorating process to continue without significant delay.
