The DeWalt DCS782XW2-GB is an 18V cordless slide mitre saw supplied with two 8Ah XR lithium-ion batteries and an 8A charger. It features an 18V brushless motor that drives the 305mm blade at 3800RPM, providing reliable cutting power without the need for mains electricity. Regenerative braking technology extends the runtime by redirecting lost energy back into the battery during use.
This saw is designed for first and second fix applications on site. It delivers a crosscut capacity of 310x90mm at 90 degrees and can cut up to 165x19mm skirting boards positioned upright against the fence. This model provides full cordless mobility while maintaining the cutting capacity typically associated with corded saws. The stainless steel detent plate allows for rapid mitre adjustments up to 50 degrees left and 60 degrees right, with common angle stops at 0, 15, 22.5, 31.6, 35.3, and 45 degrees.
Accuracy is managed through the XPS Shadowline system, which casts a shadow of the blade onto the workpiece to indicate the exact cut line without requiring calibration. The saw includes an Airlock-compatible dust port and Wireless Tool Control (WTC), allowing direct connection to a compatible vacuum extractor for automatic stop and start functionality. The dual horizontal rails and machined base ensure repeatable 0.1-degree precision during repeated cuts.
