Crown Ultra Matt Plus in Brilliant White is a water-based interior emulsion designed for application on walls and ceilings. Formulated to provide an ultra-flat matt finish, this paint helps obscure minor surface imperfections on interior plaster and plasterboard. It is supplied in a 2.5L tin and offers a high-opacity formulation, requiring fewer coats to achieve a consistent, solid white finish.
The paint features built-in mould protection, actively inhibiting mould growth to keep interior surfaces cleaner over time. This functionality makes it suitable for standard living areas as well as spaces prone to moisture accumulation. With a trace VOC formulation, it emits fewer odours during application and drying, supporting better indoor air quality.
Application is straightforward using a brush or roller, delivering a coverage rate of up to 14m² per 1L depending on the porosity of the substrate. The paint is touch dry in 1 to 2 hours and can be recoated after 2 to 4 hours. When applying to new or highly absorbent plaster, a mist coat, created by diluting the paint with up to 40% clean water, is recommended prior to full application.
