Product Information
Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat is a low-odour, water-based alkyd emulsion primer designed for interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces. It provides a smooth matt base in Charcoal Grey, supporting the full Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry system, including Fastflow Gloss, Satin and Eggshell topcoats.
The formulation uses titanium dioxide, mineral extenders and coloured pigments to deliver strong coverage of up to 15m² per litre on smooth substrates. It is suitable for new and previously decorated timber, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and galvanised metal when correctly prepared with compatible primers.
Under normal drying conditions (20°C and 65% RH), the coating is touch dry in 1–2 hours and ready to recoat after 4 hours. It should not be applied below 8°C or when relative humidity exceeds 80%. Application can be carried out with a synthetic brush, short or medium-pile roller, or spray equipment with appropriate dilution.
