The Jeld Wen Colonist is an internal fire door featuring a traditional six-panel design and a textured woodgrain surface. It is designed to compartmentalise indoor spaces and restrict the spread of fire and smoke between rooms. This door is suitable for properties requiring certified internal fire protection.
The door is built from manmade wood-effect fibre skins pressed onto a timber frame, containing a hollow core. It is supplied with a white primed finish and requires a topcoat of suitable paint prior to installation. Installers can make minor adjustments to fit existing openings using the 4mm side lipping and 6mm bottom lipping.
Certified to FD30 standards, this fire door provides 30 minutes of fire resistance when installed correctly with compatible frames and intumescent seals. It has a standard thickness of 44mm to meet building regulations for internal fire safety.
