Primarily used in cavity walls, a cavity barrier is used to close concealed spaces, preventing any penetration of smoke or flame which in turn restricts the movement of fire within a building. These are available in varying sizes to suit different cavity thicknesses. Each product is 10mm thicker than the cavity they are designed to fit, simply squeeze together and release inside the cavity to create a seal between walls.
