The Charity Cycle 2023
In 2022, Six brave colleagues from across our brands, MacBlair, Watershed, Doorways, Wood Floor Warehouse and P McDermotts, cycled around our entire branch network, covering 19 branches and over 300 miles in only 4 days.
We've took it up a gear this year and our team will now be covering more stages, more branches, more miles and still only 4 days to complete it all.
But one thing still stays the same and that's the aim of this BIG Charity Cycle, and that's to raise funds for our amazing charity partners Aware NI and Community Rescue Service.
AWARE is the Depression Charity for Northern Ireland.
AWARE has an established network of 23 support groups in rural and urban areas across the country, which are run by our trained volunteers. Support groups welcome people with depression and bipolar disorder as well as carers for people with the illness.
The Community Rescue Service are a Charitable Search & Rescue Organisation operated by volunteers from communities across Northern Ireland.
They provide all aspects of search and rescue falling under the remit of Lowland Rescue including ground, inland water, bike, boat and more.
