The Charity Cycle 300

Six brave colleagues from across our brands, MacBlair, Watershed, Doorways, Wood Floor Warehouse and P McDermotts, are getting in the saddle to take on the Charity Cycle 300.

Our riders will cycle around our entire branch network, covering 19 branches and over 300 miles in only 4 days.

Not to mention, staff in all the branches will be taking on a static cycle.

The aim of this BIG Charity Cycle, is to raise funds for our amazing charity partners, Community Rescue Service & Aware NI.

Natasha Mackay, Corporate Relationship Officer at AWARE NI, added: 

“We are incredibly grateful to the team from MacBlair for their dedication to their Cycle 300 challenge. Their determination to raise awareness of depression and funds for AWARE NI is incredibly appreciated. The funds raised are going to go a long way to support those in Northern Ireland living with depression, anxiety and bipolar. Good luck Alex, Earl, Peter, Jimmy, Gabriel and Phil, and thank you to everyone who has donated already.” 

Barry Torrens, Northern District Commander at Community Rescue Service, added:

“All at the Community Rescue Service would like wish the (brave) cyclists ‘good luck’ on their epic 300 mile cycle around all of the MacBlair locations. The Community Rescue Service search 24/7, 365 for high risk vulnerable and missing individuals. We are all volunteers, so every penny raised by the cycle team will go to pay for life saving equipment that will be used by our operational search teams when searching for members of our communities. Thank you MacBlair and we aim to be cheering the team on during their endeavours. Go Team MacBlair!”
